Disused Glass Factory
We stumbled upon this old disused factory one afternoon while trying to find a derelict homestead. Unfortunately all we found of said homestead was firewood.
This old brick building stood in this very active business area, (takeaways, gyms and offices surrounded it) yet at some point someone felt the need to no longer produce glass from this once productive and spread out site. There were 3 buildings, which appears the Glass factory operated out of the main front, a Chemical operation was in the next smaller (sealed, unfortunately) building to the side and another concrete building for storage out back.
The disuse of the buildings meant many windows had been smashed, saved from the fires because of its brick structure. I finally managed to climb inside, feeling like a bit of a monkey after the complex climb. We were able to explore the working spaces of industrious workers, and showed a different sort of work environment I hadn't yet been lucky enough to explore.
