Urbex is short for Urban Exploration (which stemmed from exploring/photographing abandoned buildings) and we have explored in every major city from Auckland, Adelaide, Wellington, Melbourne, Christchurch, Napier, New Plymouth, Sydney, Whangarei as well as everything we can find amongst the beautiful, epic rural scenery of NZ and unique Aussie outback!
Some of the most intense explorations come from old Hospitals (both General Hospitals and Mental Hospitals), Former Meatwork complexes, Prisons, Police Stations, Lava caves, Storm water or Sewage systems and these are generally the most photogenic places as well, although the odd house gets abandoned and is left with all the former occupants belongings, allowing us to piece together small snippets of the past. That's the other thing that really gets us, the history of the place and you can really feel it in the atmosphere.
